Does Panchakarma Treatment Heal The Mind As Well?

According to Ayurveda, Panchakarma is the cleansing of the body. It is a science of the body and mind.

This treatment has several benefits including treating several ailments of the body and mind. It helps prevent cancer, treat depression, digestive problems, anxiety and severe mental disorders.

Panchakarma is a holistic system of healing that incorporates the mind, body and spirit and the treatments involve every area of the body.

Panchakarma treatment to heal the mind:

Panchakarma takes the whole person into account, consisting of mind, body and spirit.  The panchakarma practitioner sees the body as the vehicle that carries the stress. Stress stays in the memory of the cells in the body preventing the nervous system from communicating and interacting with each other.

It diminishes the ability of all the systems of the body to communicate with each other. The mind becomes scattered and disconnected.  This is because the buildup of stress in the organs causes more stress on the emotional state. The ability to handle emotions becomes extremely difficult.

When you take a panchakarma treatment, the practitioner understands how physical and emotional stress is stored in the body, and how it needs to be released. A combination or several massages and techniques help release this stress. It helps release toxins that are stored in the body over a period of time.

When the body begins to heal, the mind and spirit find clarity. When you start assimilating input from all the six senses with clarity, it helps surpass your capacity and benefits the mind. The mind and body connects better and heal, and also open up the spirit to new possibilities. It creates a profound thinking of selflessness and welfare of others.

It helps achieve a balance with your emotions, which helps you live life with a positive attitude.
